Quality Area 3: Outdoor Learning Areas

In 2025, TCC further invested in our large Outdoor areas by contracting Packaged Landscapes to attend TCC to revamp our yards to include rubber soft fall bike paths and fall zones, new decks and sandpit decks, new synthetic grass areas, a Cubby house, Climbing forte, Yarning Circle and so much more. We are proud of our commitment in maintaining TCC’s yards to reflect play based learning and we place an emphasis on children being an independent learner.

Our Four yards offer a vast array of learning possibilities and include native trees, plants, edible gardens, sand, rocks, mud, water and other elements such as fire pits, vegetable gardens, a chook shed, compost bins and recycling practices. The play spaces offered are open ended, encourage spontaneity, risk taking, exploration, discovery and a connection with nature. TCC values the impact outdoor play can have on a child’s growth and learning and therefore maintains these so they are at an exceeding standard at all times.
